I had a migraine triggered yesterday from barely sleeping and still recovering from it. I slept better last night, mind still feels very foggy. This morning I felt discomfort in my body, my mind went to when I used to feel it years ago. Then I noticed myself feeling distant, sort of floaty. I hope I can get through the day today with uni
@Bow, I hope you can take care of yourself tonight through self care 💖

Talking about it certainly opens the box @creative_writer i hate talking about that kinda stuff with my pdoc. Cause she opens the box, asks me lots of questions and really tries to challenge my beliefs and then abruptly ends the conversation and leaves me with gaping wounds. And then sends me on my way.

Oof @Bow that sounds hectic. Could be something worth talking to her about - that you might need more aftercare/time in session to get back into a more regulated state before it just ends and you're sent on your way with open emotional wounds.

Re: Nothing feels real
Yeah that would probably be a good idea @Jynx although not overly confident that she would actually take notice of what I said.

@Bow then she's not listening to you or your needs. And if that's the case, you can express that too, because you deserve to have your needs not just respected, but attuned to (if that makes sense).

Re: Nothing feels real
@Bow, I guess I do have a strong connection between vicarious trauma and my own personal trauma. I was supporting another survivor. It’s not that I had never supported survivors before, but I guess it was too much for me then. I disassociated so wasn’t able to debrief straight after, I only reached out later on. Being a lifeline crisis support worker can be full on, but for the most part, I handled it and loved doing it, it was hard to leave.
My thoughts are your pdoc appointments was similar to @Jynx. Remember she is there to help you, having open communication is important

Re: Nothing feels real
So my meds were adjusted to help me feel stable and my SI is gone. I feel like it’s provided my brain with space to process things, and that’s not easy 😔. Physical flashbacks are hard. Maybe I shouldn’t complain because things are not nearly are hard as they used to be, but I’m still not quite happy with life

Re: Nothing feels real
I’ve been feeling weak this afternoon. I feel like I need to talk to myself but can’t get myself to do it. I know there are people in my life who would be happy to listen, but I don’t want to burden them, so I’m just being silent

Hi @creative_writer sorry you are feeling this way.
Would it be helpful if you wrote it down, either on here or in a journal.

@Snowie, I don’t want to burden you either, I feel like other people have worse stuff going on the forums who need more help than me
