Positive mindframe 🫶🏻

Positive mindframe 🫶🏻

Hello everyone, just wanted to start a new conversation around having a positive mindframe especially during hard times.
I’ve found this week has been a big struggle with so many little inconveniences building up like last minute changes to work hours, car troubles, minor impacts everyday. I feel like it’s so easy to let them all build up until it overflows and it ends up being a really hard time.

My positive mindframe this morning is definitively embracing a few moments to breathe in some fresh air to calm my mind, taking a break from my phone and social media’s (very refreshing for the mind) and I’ve been writing down negative thoughts.

I would love to know what helpful tips others have to manage hard moments and to stay in a positive mindframe ☺️

Hi @MissLil

So good you could get into your positive mindframe.

For me, I'm 54 I have had so many ups and downs with my mental health over the years. I've learned how time goes by so fast and when I'm having a rough day over some crappy events I tell myself that life really is too short to sweat the small stuff. I rant and rave to my family (my daughter is especially happy to listen to my rants) and I try to move on. I also look at things I'm really grateful for. You really don't have to look far to see how lucky we are just to live in this country.

I'm not saying it always works. I can sometimes just not be able to shake off those feelings of 'ugh'. But more often than not these days I'm ok.

Hope you have a great day!

Hi @MissLil

Sounds like you have some good strategies there. Life can be so challenging and we all struggle. Balance the negative list with a positive one too.

I need nature to really ground myself, if I can't get into nature I do a short walk near by. Plenty to see and be grateful for when you look around. In hard times, it can be hard to spot those postives. I have made a book with my own images and statements to look at when things are tough too. I also draw on hope from my life and try remembering progress is not linear. Keep going, the hard times are temporary, you are important and you matter 💚

Thanks for the tag @hanami
