So I basically had three week period when my mood was stabilised, but it didn’t last. It was a relief after a bad depressive episode with mixed features in July and August. Now I am feeling depression tonight again, I don’t know why. It feels devastating since I was feeling well for some time and thought it’ll last, but I guess not. I don’t want to have to live this life (I’m safe). I just don’t understand why my brain can’t be normal
I've been feeling the same. I've picked up the flu, but inspite of that I was feeling OK today, mentally. Until this evening. And I don't understand what changed. Though I am told progress and improvement often looks like that: hokey pokey; peaks and valleys; forwards and back again. An ultimate dance that can be quite maddening, can't it?
🫂💐
wish there were something I could do for you...

Re: What kind of life is this?
@Kyle1, I don’t understand why my mood can flip without an obvious trigger, particularly after a sustained period of not feeling low. I don’t know if it’s part of healing, it just feels like a start to another mood episode. The trauma memories are bothering more again and I feel so disconnected and alone again (which I haven’t felt so a while due to being in a better mood state) and I despise myself again.
Sending you lots of healing vibes your way, MH doesn’t always make sense, you could be doing well, only to feel much worse later 🫂

@Kyle1, I’m not alone, with parents. I think I need rest, eating dinner wasn’t easy, was feeling really nauseous. I just hope my body corrects itself by the time I wake up.
I hope you’ve been taking care of yourself this evening 💖

Re: What kind of life is this?
@Kyle1, what did you eat. My dad made some chicken broth for my mum since she wasn’t well, and I just ate some of that with a bit of bread 💓

Re: What kind of life is this?
exactly the same thing @creative_writer
I've had it two nights in a row and felt nourished. Maybe I dipped too much bread, but I don't care! 😊

Re: What kind of life is this?
@Kyle1, chicken broth is very nourishing and comforting. I’m going to go to sleep, starting to feel more calm after taking my meds, getting pretty sleepy. I hope you have a restful night 💖

@creative_writer I'm sorry to hear your distress 🫂 Depression is devastating, you're right 😢
All I know is that the depression and my other MIs aren't always logical.
I hope your depression goes away very soon and that it's not a long episode 🤞
