Doctors

It seems that everytime I go to my GP Im launching another investigation or two. Turns out that my tounge is infected and inflamed. I dont eat a lot, like a real little amount. I cant imagine my morning donut is terribly nutritious, I eat a small bit of a Coles ready made meal and thats generally it. Ive been this way since my pain got really bad. Drs know but now it might be an issue, I might be like ***kg but malnutritioned. [edited by moderator].
They are also looking to see if my prostate is enlarged. Im having issues with starting to and keeping peeing. Im already getting treated because I had problems with it starting on its own after I finished.
I saw her early in the week and I have to have a bone density scan.

Ive got a bunch of blood tests to be done as well.

I seem to just add problems to my list not resolve. My mental health is getting worse leaps and bounds.

Ive spent most of today feeling like Im living a dream, like Im not really here. I flipped out in bed day before yesterday.
I cant sleep. Im getting a couple hours of really poor quality sleep but thats it.
Good news is Im seeing the neurosurgeon Monday. There was a cancellation and they put me in. I didnt expect to see him for like a month.

Hi @ClockFace,

Sounds tough and frustrating for you. It's good you've been able to get to your GP and other professional help. Here is a factsheet that might have some ideas for you... Healthy living (sane.org). Small steps are progress too. Hope this helps 🙂

Hi @ClockFace,

I'm sorry to hear that you're really struggling with your physical health. I'm really glad you've reached out today for some support 😀

I know how exhausting and downright depressing the constant doctors appointments and medical tests can be, having been through a lot myself. You should feel proud that you're trying to keep up even though it sounds like you're exhausted from it.

You mentioned that you flipped out in bed and that you've only had a few hours of sleep a night, is that right? Sleep deprivation is truly an awful thing to be living with and can definitely have a negative impact on your physical and mental health as well. Have you discussed with your GP the troubles that your having with your sleep? Do you practice any sleep hygiene routines?

Thats awesome that you got an appointment with a neurosurgeon sooner than you thought! That's gotta be a bit of a weight off your shoulders, yeah?
