Gravity

Gravity

is it common for anxiety sufferers to wake up in dread? To be pressed down in panic before your eyes even open?

This is what's been happening to me for a whole year long, now.

I saw an interesting visual the other day which kind of paints the picture: these alien machines, called 'world engines', had embedded themselves into the earth. Once initiated, they began to groan and slowly sucked the surroundings up off the ground before slamming them back down in a crumpled mess of increased gravity. And they did this over and over again...

Just about every day has been like this for me. Counselling isn't yet effective. Medication has little consequence. Socialising is inflammatory, and isolation is despairing.

My heart hurts.

Re: Gravity

Hey @Kyle1, how are you going this evening?

Re: Gravity

hi @creative_writer

I've been to the Dr again and gave me some tranquillisers.

I've been plagued most of the day with loops of self depreciating thoughts... I'd like to know how to make that stop. I'd like to know people in life who shared positive remarks for a change - and mean it, rather than manipulate me.

Re: Gravity

@Kyle1, 💖🫂. I hope the meds help this time. It’s hard processing trauma, it affects us on a very deep level. It’s hard to feel safe or trust afterwards. Good people are still out there, I hope you find them in your life

Re: Gravity

thank you, my friend. @creative_writer

Wiered thing is: I am seeing a dissonance form in me, but feel powerless to nullify it.

It's like the trunk of a tree splitting inside, compelled to grow fractured now...

Re: Gravity

@Kyle1, growing fractured reminds of of kintsugi. Maybe you could work on gluing all the fractured parts of you, piece by piece with gold and become even more valuable than you previously were. It’s going to take time, but you are worth it. You can grow and flourish into someone you never thought you could be

Re: Gravity

I'm just glad my parents didn't buy me a piano, @Appleblossom. I did enjoy playing the fife in my primary school band though. I learned after marriage, when a 'friend' showed me the band photo, that my ex-h played the bass drum in it, too. He was even less musical. Beyond the fife, I just don't seem to be musically inspired.

@Kyle1

Meds can help sometimes.

Listening to music also.

Sharing this, maybe as distraction, maybe inspiration for metaphors for ongoing change, and makes up our inner and outer worlds ...

Re: Gravity

@Kyle. I hope you're feeling a little more hopeful today and that you have a nice weekend ahead of you.

I'm wondering if you can help me with a problem with instagram? You've whetted my curiosity so I'm trying to create an account, but it won't let me. I am not giving my true name. Is that a problem? How would they know? Many different people can live in one household. I've tried a number of times, but it just keeps telling me to try again later. Any clues?

If you're not feeling up to it, don't worry.

P.S. Don't worry. I tried again. I have been suspended for not providing authentic details. I didn't know it wasn't allowed. They ask a lot in requiring authenticity in these days of hacking.
