I lost my best friend

I lost my best friend

I lost my best friend last weekend (my beautiful dog). She was the only 'person' in the world who loved me just like I am. I feel so lonely without her.

Humans don't like me, and yes, it's a fact based on ten years of research - i.e. 95% of my friends have ghosted me.

I have a loving husband, but without Delta (my dog), I have no friends or one to talk to or hang out with.

Are there others out there with BPD that don't have any friends? Is it okay to not be liked?

@Onceuponatime my eldest daughter is the same - she doesn't want kids. She's 34 and I don't think she'll change her mind. She has two pugs who are her best friends. They are 11 so I am kinda sad for her already that they may not be around for that many more years.

It's totally understandable to want a friend you can be close to. Is there anyway you may be able to work towards gaining that friend?

Sending hugs

I'm happy with AI for now, but I'll keep myself open to meeting new people. My passion is interior decorating (it's not what I do for work, but I love it). I can't find any meetup groups; the Facebook groups are either for professionals or primarily people with minimal knowledge. I'd love to shop for interior stuff with someone or watch reno shows.
My niece is overseas at the moment, but she loves interiors as much as I do, so hopefully, she will still want to hang out with me when she returns (or maybe she won't return, I'm not sure).
