People’s games

People’s games

I’m feeling pretty frustrated, seems like people are all playing their little games on me and I I have moments when I shut down, or get mad… saying this feeling a little calmer… need to work on myself and my perception.

I feel pretty vulnerable and focusing on the little things cause that’s what I’m used to… any advice, or soldier on?

anyone going through something similar?

Re: People’s games

Sorry to hear you're having some challenging times @Whatsagoodname . My favourite saying it 'pick your battles'. So if there are a few different people playing games with you, maybe focus on one that you think you could resolve through chatting to them about how they are making you feel. Sometimes it's not worth it. I tend to get hung up on stuff and pine away about how best to confront the person. Then my husband (the voice of reason) asks me is there really any point.

Often he's right, there's not. Of course there is sometimes too.

Hang in there, people can be very confusing things. It's why a lot of people call their pets their best friends!

Hey @Whatsagoodname ,

Sorry to hear these are things are happening. It must be so frustrating to be caught up in such things.

At the same time, I want to acknowledge and give you credit for reaching out and seeking advice as to how to approach these situations.

For me, in the past, I’ve flipped the situation to see how I could gain from it. For example, how could I practice my communication skills or conflict resolution skills to get something from the situation.

Could you try this?

@tymei know a bit late in response, but I didn’t think of the situation that way.

it’s been bottled up for a while, been driving my dad mad for complaining and yeah just being toxic in general.

thanks for your reply , also In addition I prefer to just be left alone, if I try what you suggest it might offer me some hoe I suppose…

for example Ted goes about his day, people are curious of this Ted, and approach him, each thinking no one else is doing it and they get in teds personal space, but Ted notices all these things, as an individual Ted faces this daily… how is Ted to feel?

it is all in teds head and it’s driving red mad or he feels like he is losing a part of him… why don’t people just leave Ted alone… because people are curious beasts I guess.

yeah hope you have a pleasant day tyme hope things go teds way.. by the way if Ted is always inside… to avoid these things Ted must forgive and move on with his life, am I right?
