How to fill a support gap?

How to fill a support gap?

All things are unfortunately not going to align well for about 2 months. And I won't have access to my regular mental health supports for that time. When it's a time I actually really need it.

Trying to discover what I might be able to access in this upcoming 2 months, so I still have access to someone to talk to?

I looked at the SANE guided support but I don't appear to be in the right area for it. Although if I stood on my roof I could just about see the area where it is offered. I really can't have it be an online phone service thing talking to a different person each time.

There's a few stressful weeks coming up, and I'm going to need someone I can just vent/feel heard with (can't think of the right word), and be reminded of my self care, regulation tools/plans. Which would actually be pretty ideal over some sort of text chat service. This probably doesn't exist, but hey it's worth asking if it does. I see how a good friend would be the ideal solution to this, but I don't have that in my life right now.

Anyway keen to hear any ideas.

What about:

eFriend is a FREE service that allows people who are feeling low, lonely or isolated to access virtual peer support sessions via video or phone call. Our peer workers can offer insight, provide hope, and empathise from their own lived experience – whether you’re looking for support or just want someone to chat to. eFriend sessions are 30 minutes each, and are usually scheduled weekly offering a safe space for you to connect with your eFriend peer. After the introductory call, each session is held with the same eFriend peer, so you won't have to re-tell your story each time.

All the best. I hope you find something to fill the gap while your regular supports are unavailable but you have stressful time coming up.

Another option that you could use as well is to post on here about your plans including self care and regulation. Include details of what has worked for you in the past, so that later if you choose to vent about your stresses - forum member will know what to suggest that may be helpful for you.
