Does anyone else struggle with maintaining attention on study or work? I feel like my concentration levels drop further when I’m stressed, but probably wasn’t the best when I was a kid too. I guess I was also a stressed child too, or maybe my attention span just sucks. I didn’t start off as academically strong, I was a daydreamy child in a way. Though I’ve picked up a bit over the years, but I can’t help but feel stupid. I’ve had a bit of extra caffeine, hopefully can get through proofreading assignment today
I know a thing or two about this.. as I struggle with study and attention myself. Been in uni for a long time now as I try to navigate my mental health and achieve my study goals.
Here are some resources I thought of:
I wanted to share this with you: I came across this ADHD term body doubling and I feel like anyone can benefit from it. Body double really helps me! It's something I've learnt as a tool in ADHD - a body double is someone who sits with a person with ADHD as they tackle tasks that might be difficult to complete alone. I find body doubles on https://discord.com/invite/study or a website called flo body double.
Hey @creative_writer i just thought of this as well as I’m studying now, I tend to do one question then go for a stroll then come back and do another question. I don’t like it one bit, but saying that I have been maintaining performance, but it’s not the way I used to study.
hope it plays out well, maybe chat to gp or psych if you have one..

@fluffylight, I haven’t been personally diagnosed with ADHD, I do show signs of inattention though, don’t know if it’s just other mental health issues or it’s something more playing up. Maybe something worth discussing with my psych, though it might be worth looking into body double.
@Whatsagoodname, it’s frustrating, it’s like my mind keeps floating around. It’s like I need a break every 2 mins. I am also someone who likes having a study schedule, but it never seems to work and it stresses me out. I hope you are able to find something that works
