Slowly getting on top of my depression - celebrating the small wins

Slowly getting on top of my depression - celebrating the small wins

2 days ago I celebrated having a strong and positive day. I noticed one day free of depressive symptoms. And also, I think I am having a day today where I am also not experiencing further depressive symptoms. My depression has been severe, but I have been doing my very best indeed to take care of myself.

One thing that I think helped me manage my depression is how I went about tracking my mood. On my iPad and in my notes, I created a section called 'Mood Journal'. Since the 1st of the present month I have been tracking my mood; and sharing what I write in my mood journal with my psychologist. Another thing I did to stay positive was I read my positive affirmations every day.

Yep. Every little win helps. @PositivePossum6

Affirmation and journalling have helped me. I have only tracked mood in a very general way but these days ... I note in my diary when I take prn meds ... as a sign of bad day ... it is becoming less often which is great.
