Re: Mental Challenges
Hi @ClockFace
Thank you for sharing about what's been going on for you 💛 :yellow_heart
It sounds like you are trying to juggle through it all!!
It's great that you have done a bit of reading to find out what's going on for you! Dr Google always helps me.
I'm wondering if a visit to the GP is something you will consider?
Sending you so much gentle and fluffy light to get through this,
fluffylight x

Re: Mental Challenges
Hi @ClockFace,
Your symptoms sound similar to what I experience when I am overwhelmed or stressed. Sometimes I get overwhelmed by a single trauma trigger, other times by a combination of stressors - like having lots on my to do list, little sleep, and unresolved emotional conflict.
I love your description of the mind being like a cave - great imagery for how I feel when I can hear people speaking but can't process what they are saying.
Being easily startled, hyperfocussed & having difficulties making decisions are all signs for me to stop and try to work out why my brain is overloaded at the moment. Sometimes I can identify some stressor/s that I can remove or reduce - like having some food, or moving to somewhere quieter. Sometimes it helps me to write down my to do list, as I find that it takes up so much emotional energy to keep my list in my head - then I can pick my priority item/s and allow myself to put off the other things till another day. Sometimes I just need to allow myself to do nothing but self care and just recharge my emotional battery so I am able to think again.
Do you think you might be experiencing more stress than normal for you? Is there some way you can help your mind to reduce this stress so it can function better?
