Same but different

Same but different

I'll be going into a familiar situation soon. One where there's a lot of hope and fear. How can I do the same thing but get a different outcome?

It will be a new environment but same in many ways and I have a whole lot of baggage going in with me. I want need hope for a different outcome but that is relying on me and others being able to work around through and inspite of the baggage becomes leave it at the door isn't an option.

Can I do that.

Can they do that.

Can I change enough to make that happen when the point of going there is to create change I can't make by myself.

Replaying past failures to try and deconstruct where how they went wrong isn't helping.

Expectations and hope are low but giving up isn't an option.

My sister is holding me close at the moment and I'm feeling the love and care she is giving me. She isn't letting go but Saturday I'm going out into the real world again and I'm scared.

Re: Same but different

I have time.

I have space.

I have a safe space to work out what is me and what is what others put on me.

I have a glorious retreat sitting in a park surrounded by cars but still warm and bright and safe.

I feel whole again. I feel like me again. Peace in my mind is such a treasure when it's been gone for so long.

I still don't know for sure what is real. I still have incredible uncertainty about what life will be like and how much I can recover. I still have stressors around caring for my dog, and money and if the future I invision can be.

I just know now is a time of reconnecting with me and healing and today I am grateful.

Hugs @Gillie1

Glad you still have your dog and have found sanctuary both within yourself and in environs. Hope it continues ... nothing is purrrfffect, but I get that you get that, big time, and still you have bounced back.
