I feel like shit not having a job like the rest of people my age
i am 20 years old and just got diagnosed with schizophrenia although I don't see or hear things I make connections with everything and have severe anxiety I can't really leave the house let alone work a job and I feel like shit. Everyone has a job and it makes me feel inadequate and just not like the rest of people it's like I have a hole in my chest thinking of what I could be but I just can't achieve I don't know if anyone I know would understand this but I just can't work a job and I keep thinking people look down on me for it.

I wonder if studying online could be an option for you to help you feel better about your situation? It could help you get a job in the future, something that you might like to do and be confident in. How do you feel about that?

That is something I can give a go at, I have no clue what to study do you have any recommendations for finding different subjects that may suit?

Hey @KOOL , that's good to hear that you're open to that option. What are you interested in? Like do you have a job that you would like to do one day? I definitely know a lot of online options for study. Are you interested in university type qualifications like a Bachelor's degree or are you more interested in TAFE type options of say a diploma or certificate course?

I don't really have much ambition so I don't know what job I would like to work but I think that I would do a Tafe course so I guess I could start by looking there.

I think that sounds good @KOOL - There are lots of courses they do online now. Maybe start having a look at what's on offer. Something might jump at you that's of interest. If you need help searching I'm back in again on Monday and happy to help. I think this could really help you - giving you a bit of an interest.
