Hi @Lochlyn thanks for sharing that, believe me you're not alone.
By the sounds of it ...
You're having intrusive thoughts, it's like a version of Post traumatic Stress Disorder (it might BE PTSD) ... you have flashbacks and intrusive thoughts, you worry about what happened even though it's in the past. Mainly it's the intrusive thinking that brings on the anxiety which results in depression.
It can be cyclic.
I highly recommend an app brought out by the government that you can pop on your phone (if you're into technology), it's called PTSD Coach Australia and it's free from the App store.
I have found it personally excellent for keeping me on track and I've recommended it before with good results.
Other than that I highly recommend deciding on a toolbox for your mental health - you have one for your work so why not for your mental health?
So, decide what works for you ... relaxation CD, meditation, mindfulness, talk therapy (Counsellor or psych either face to face or by phone), the PTSD Coach App (or other app), walking/exercise, writing your experiences in a journal, journal therapy, medication, scheduling in pleasurable activities, reaching out to a network (like the forums) ...
Those are just few of the many things available to you to put in your 'mental health toolbox'!
Because it's not all the time that you need these tools, only sometimes and at those times it's important that you have a strategy/plan for what to do so you don't end up in severely anxious states or worse, depression.
Only you can decide what goes in your toolbox, through trial and error you'll find out what works for you.
On this forum we have people suggesting different things all the time (try the other forums as well!)
I hope you get something from them.
Work situations can place extra pressure because you're at work and working with electricity makes it even more anxiety producing ! But you will get through this, it was a difficult time and you need time and strategies in place to help your mind re-wire itself (stop intrusive thinking).
Not easy always, but definitely doable.
Though I have to say it is a journey ....
