Absence of pain

Absence of pain

So I have had my procedure yesterday, all went well. I was in agony last night, it was really bad, I dosed myself up with pain killers and went to bed. I kept waking up through out the night but each time I did the pain was lessening. When I woke up this morning it was basically non-existant. Now Im sore where they did the procedure and I have a bit of pain in my neck but realistically no pain.

Its the weirdest feeling the absense of pain, when you have been in pain for 22 years. Like I cant quite wrap my head around it. I am in a fair bit of disbelife over the whole thing. Im waiting for the dream to be over and to wake up again in pain. Im waiting for the pain to come flooding back in like things to go back to "normal".

I am starting to feel a bit excited that it has worked and Im not going to be in pain forever. Ive been testing things a little of course but Im being cautious. Over the next little while Ill start picking up different things like doing the dishes and what not. Tonight Ill feed the dogs and see how I go with that. Im going to pick a few things up from the shops later today and it will be interesting to see how my back goes with the walking.

Hi @ClockFace

Glad to see the dishes are on your list.

When finished, I have some you can pick up and clean!

I sort of understand the disbelief after 22 years of pain

I went through a matter for 10 years

As the situation slowed down, the adrenalin must have slowed down and I felt empty.

Where has the issue gone? Will it come back? Huh. This is strange

So I am glad you are making progress!
