A great day

A great day

Hi everyone @Former-Member @Former-Member@decadian@faith-and-hope@leia@tab@shaz51@sadgirl@pip & anyone I've accidentally forgotten.
Went up to take some more photos of the Aboriginal Water Well today. Found so much more fascinating Aboriginal engineering feats.
Meditated and came home.
Checked my emails and received one saying that this site and the finds haven't been documented on the Aboriginal Heritage Sites database. And have been asked to go up there in about a week to show the Heritage team around.
So excited. Even though some other locals know about the wells and other things I've found. Obviously no one bothered to check with the Heritage group.
So rapt. I get to be a witness to how they go about documenting the whole site. I haven't even explored the full acre site yet.
Just wanted to share.
I hope you have all found something to celebrate tonight. Even if it's just getting out of bed, having a walk, smelling some flowers, or simply breathing through any anxiety.
Love and hugs to you all.
I'll be off site for the rest of the night.
♥♥

Yes @utopia

Confronting it is - when it comes to Heritage - I am Anglo-Celtic - my father was English and on my mother's side somehow everyone in that part of my family tree seems to have come from Northern Ireland - so I am British as well as Australian

My dd though has a First-Fleeter on her Father's side - and she is proud of that I think - she's a 6th generation Australian and feels all-Aussie - not pretty-British like me - but then I grew up with my English grandparents and father

About history being confronting - as I had grown-up with the War in my Memory - and hearing about the Great War all my childhood - I was not as confronted with the diorama at the War Memorial as some of the other people who were there. Because of my spine I am always very cautious moving around other people and found many of them standing in ag doorway or in the middle of a room staring at something in a very dazed state - which I admit gave me something else to think about.

For me War History is not as confronting as it is for some other people. The whole morning gave me something else to think about and I am thinking about this until today

I like it that my life seems to be on a constant learning curve

@Decadian. We keep growing and evolving bybbeing on that 'learning curve'.
I'm happy to be on the same journey.

Re: A great day

Good morning @utopia, Congratulations on your findings. It is great that you will be part of the documentation of it all as well. That is such wonderful news and you must be so proud.

An aboriginal story teller came to a festival at our local park during the year. He was great. Afterwards we showed him through the local museum, there he found photos of his distant family. He stood there and cryed, he was so happy that they had been documented somewhere, (in our tiny local museum) but it was there for him to share with the rest of his family. this work is so important.

Con Grats again.

Hello @pip, hope your new job is going great for you. Have you finished your training?.

Love and hugs to all.
