Something’s not right

Why do people lash out and pass on Pain? I don't understand!

Why do people lash out and pass on Pain? I don't understand!

If someone has gone through a tough time and are dealing with some type of trauma, then of course it's understandable that they feel the way they feel. But if they make you feel uncomfortable by always having a go at you or constantly winding you up or acting selfish or just plain difficult, then is it okay that you don't feel okay and that you want to speak up about it? And if someone isn't treating other people in way that you don't think is right, then why don't people say anything? Is it because they know the person is going through a tough time and they know their mental health state is quite fragile? Because I honestly feel like if someone is treating others in a negative way, that's not okay. Because it only spreads the pain and they aren't considering how the other person is feeling.

Hey @Owlunar and @florencefifty

Thank you both for responding to my post. What you have to say makes sense and I appreciate what you both have to say. And Owlunar is right, words can hurt and I'm glad the clinic has regulations on dealing with toxic behaviour so people stay safe. Glad I'm not the only one who is struggling with this kind of situation. Hope you are both doing okay and you have a great rest of the week and stay safe. 🙂

Thanks @KFPDW

Yes indeed - words can and do hurt - the old rhyme about sticks and stones is wrong - the wound left by harsh words - even thoughtless words - can stay open for years - whereas a physical injury can usually heal within a week or less - perhaps leaving a scar to remind us not to do whatever that was again,

But words - yes - words can do so much damage -

I hope your day has been reasonable and you are looking forward to a pleasant long weekend - of course - this may not be the case so I do wish you the best.

And a thought - sometimes the throwaway phrase - "Have a good day" feels like an order - not always - depending on the way I feel - sometimes we know we have other plans.

Regardless - I hope it is all the best it can be
