Feeling a little lost, needing clarity

Feeling a little lost, needing clarity

Hi all, after a bit of a hiatus I’m back and after about a year of work since I was last here don’t feel like it’s adding any value to my life… in a perfect world I would want to keep working, but don’t seem to have the drive to keep pursuing it given I can just go on the DSP.

I’ll be making a lot less money but I think money is not all… though it helps. Anyone been in this position and can you transition from a working life to a stay at home life, and how would that go… is there much involved with telling people you’re on the DSP or not. I have a bit of fear you could call it or worry that if my neighbors constantly see me at home their gonna think something is up!

@justanotherguy Why do you say not working at all is not a good option?

about 3 of the last places I worked at I experiences bullying, those people keep coming to mind when I am far away from them

I hear what @justanotherguy is saying @Former-Member .

I guess it depends on what you define 'work' as. Whether it's paid employment, volunteer, or even just engaging in meaningful activities.

For me, wages may be an incentive, but even engaging in your chosen past time can be helpful.

@Former-Member , I can attest not working in some capacity for too long can create all sorts of mental problems too. DSP is ok but it's still a survival wage, it's not like winning Tattslotto. With no incentive to work boredom and apathy can easily set in, plus other problems like social isolation, a skewed sense of purpose, and financial stress.

Yeah I got my purpose back @justanotherguy , @tyme @thanks for honing in.

I think Covid had me feeling weak and thinking was in the same line. Got excited to go back to work so I think it’s just my thinking that has to change!

sometimes I just lose track of what is important, but thanks for the comments appreciate it, know you’re not alone
