Something’s not right

Bad day

Bad day

This may seem trivial to what some are going through, but internally it’s been a rough day. I have a leak into the house (not sure exactly where it’s coming from and probably hidden behind external weatherboard). Im hoping not the roof but Im not sure. Today i discovered the bottom weatherboard is rotten and broken. In the past the water has pooled onto my bedroom carpet (and rotted the plasterboard in the corner) ; so I have been using a tarp over the verandah upstairs. it’s just so hard on my own. Last month it was an underground concealed waterleak more $$$$$ I feel bad for posting but I’ve felt overly anxious and have had to take 2 calmatives. Its been one thing after another and I feel like I’m in a sinking ship. I have my son to consider and I love other things about thus place but the maintenance is soo over the top.

Getting to me. 😞 I spent most of the day in bed. I’m going out soon.

Hugs to those of you who need them

Hi @Down2

Water leaks. So hard to find. My factory has a drip. 3 plumbers and in the end l put a bucket under the drip.

House is different.

But water leaks can come from anywhere.

Tarp is a good idea. I hope you find the right person to find the leak.

I feel the frustration. I symathise. Damn water leaks.

Re: Bad day

I"m sorry you've had a tough day today. It is understandable that you feel a bit down.

Leaks are certainly so costly. I have some roof damage I have to see to. I just haven't done it because it's a big job @Former-Member @Down2 .

I hope it gets sorted soon.

Thanks @Former-Member and @tyme For your replies and support.

I hope yours get sorted too. It’s just not knowing who to turn to and yes costly! Really getting to me.

Hi @Down2 and @tyme

I was thinking of Down2 at 6.00am in melbourne. It was pouring. It is hard to get tradies these days. Professionals too. So expensive and little if any guarantee. I hope you ask around. Sometimes local real estate agents know people. I sympathise. Water leaks are not easily found. Another hurdle in life. You will get past it. I am sure of that.

Re: Bad day

Hi @Down2 @tyme

Come to think of it l did call a real estate agent for mine. They sometimes need reasonably priced tradies. Good luck. I will check my bucket at factory tomorrow. The drips sound bad but takes ages to get an amount in there. Alternate is to ask an Owners Corp manager for tradie.

I also asked at Reece plumbing once. They may refer a local plumber

My roof leaks too. Each drip is like a stake of anxiety hitting my soul. I am glad the rain has gone for a while as I can't fix it and other priorities eat all my pay.
