TW: Self harm also SI

TW: Self harm also SI

As sh*tty as things have been I try to look on the 'bright side'. But truth is there is no 'bright side'...at least not for me. I can't do this anymore. I know I'm trying to fake a life that wasn't made for me. I am nothing and never will be anything. Nothing is going good and whilst I'm stuck to deal with it all in my own head I just hear that voice in my head telling me to just hurt myself. I have tried to not listen to that voice but it makes a lot of sense. Why would I continue to stay in a life that continuously hurts? I am alone, I am nothing, I barely exist. I'm sorry for the doom and gloom but this is what is going on inside of my head. Ultimately I know it doesn't matter and I don't think there is anything anyone can say anymore that will make it seem better...this life has been a let down. It has been painful. I say enough is enough.

Not contacting any of those scripted services who don't get it. All I know is I don't feel like being here anymore. I am nothing and will never amount to anything. Hopeless and don't see a point anymore

That's okay if you don't want to call any of those numbers right now. They are there if you need them later on. I'm sorry that you're having those thoughts right now Loz, but you don't have to do it alone.

I've just sent you an email to check in and have a chat if you wanted.

Sitting with you and hoping you're okay,

Hi @Loz_3647

I know how you feel and can relate to all you have said.

Life is hard and it is certainly hard navigating through it all.

Tell that voice where to go, @Loz_3647. I have spent the afternoon thinking I can't go on, too. I cried for a while, and then I recovered my composure, again. I'm exhausted, my head hurts, but I'm still standing.

We can get through this, @Loz_3647. Very likely there will be more swings and roundabouts, but tomorrow is another day. We're strong. Don't ever say you are 'nothing', you're as worthy as any other and more so than many.

Thinking of you @Loz_3647.

💯 understand what you mean. I have said the same thing to health professionals and others.

I'm still here though. I still keep trying. It's all we can do. Often, it is all we need to do. Just keep going until you find a solution or you find some inner peace. Sometimes that means mental health medication. Sometimes it means waiting out the bad feelings because often there will be the other side, where you start to feel normal again. Sometimes it means making a life change. It may mean finding support of some kind. Such as family support or making some new romantic/friendship connections. It may mean looking at medical options. If all else fails, go to an inpatient mental health service until you feel safe again. I had to do that once. I was embarrassed but it was what I needed in that moment to not hurt myself and to feel less alone and desperate. It didn't solve anything. I had to do that over time, with medication. It did give me a chance though. It gave me a moment to gain some strength. To talk to others, to know they saw my desperation and took my situation seriously. That gave me hope I might find a solution.

If you think you won't amount to anything, the first step is to realize that there is no goal in life. There is no model of perfection. The second step is to make a move to make yourself proud. This may be just getting out of bed and doing some cleaning or it may be going outside for a walk. It doesn't have to be huge but take pride in the things you can achieve and then move to bigger goals.
