Re: How does someone contact an admin?

Hi @Lotusgirl

Sorry to read that you are feeling so anxious and distressed this evening. I have sent you an email just now explaining why I needed to remove your posts containing what I assumed was an identifying photo of yourself and your baby. A lovely photo but unfortunately this is not permitted in the forum guidelines.

I have sent you a link to the guidelines to read when you have time.

You are welcome to repost your important question about the baby hold, please just leave out the photo. As I mentioned in my email, I think the hold you describe is perfectly safe and would not harm your baby in any way. Has someone said something about this hold to get you worried?

You are right that having a mental illness is not fun and it can cause a person to be overly anxious or reactive to things at times. You are brave to ask so openly about something that really worries you. I'm sure that others will respond to your question too.

Please take care of yourself tonight and try to do things that reassure and soothe you. When you get to know me, you will find that I do have compassion and I do care. As do most members on the forums.

Kind regards,

Frog

Re: How does someone contact an admin?

Hi @Former-Member thank you for writing to me and I did recieve your email. I reposted the question. Is the image that I used on that one okay? I just fear that if it isn't accompanied by an image people won't know what hold I am talking about. I am sorry that I reacted so strongly to my post being removed. I did it because I worried that maybe the person who removed it thought I had done the wrong thing and harmed the baby and that is MY very worst fear. I understand my reaction may have come across as very strong and for that I apologise. However, yes people do get reactive when they have a mental illness and they have been struggling.

Nobody told me the hold was harmful. It was an invention of my mind. I used the hold and then thought "oh crap is that okay or is that bad/harmful/creepy/hurtful or otherwise wrong to the baby?" I spoke to the mother who was like "hell no!" its fine. But I still haven't felt settled so I wanted to post it on the forum.

I apologise for the extreme reaction. Yes its always brave to open up and be honest about our frailities. I am frail and I am just trying the best I can.

Thank you kindly,

Lara
