I hope you got some sleep. No I am not young. I will be 55 in January. Younger than hubby though, he is 65. I do feel young.’

@GezzaP, did you manage to get a decent rest? I was just saying to Tabby that I woke up around 0430 with the sun already coming up. I slept fitfully until 0830 when I decided it was time to get up.

That's good that your friend is going to the pub with you, especially if he's been staying in a lot. I hope you'll have a great night out.

@Shaz51 do you have Gezza's birthday date of 28/11?

@ENKELI I went back to sleep for a couple of hours then had a nap at 10am tor an hour. Still tired it accumulates. Drank too much coffee so got the runs! Self inflicted.

I'm planning to take a nap before I need to go collect my groceries. Too tired to wander the aisles today!

@ENKELI No way am I capable of getting groceries in the afternoon. I don’t do chores in the mid-late afternoon if I can avoid it - too sleepy. Morning person very much. Only thing I did after lunch was bring in some indoor plants that I watered. Sitting in my armchair thinking about a nap.

@GezzaP I used to be a morning person. It depends on what time I wake up and how I am feeling these days. Today I am really tired and I wanted to take advantage of extra Flybuys so I did a click and collect order. I also have a script to collect that wasn't due in until lunchtime. Thankfully it's cooler today but I am still feeling fairly average with hot flushes and sweat. Darned menopause.

Menopause is horrid @ENKELI . I remember. I sometimes still have a flush in late afternoon/evening after 10 years of being post-menopausal. Night sweats suck. Still get them in the Summer.

@GezzaP it's not nice is it. I don't have adequate cooling in my house so I have to put a towel on my pillow and 2 fans going even in winter.

My feet are like blocks of ice while my chest and neck are dripping!

I am hoping the new HRT treatment my GP prescribed me will help as the one I'm currently on is not helping.

I'm glad you are mostly over it and hopefully the flushes and sweats will disappear all together for you soon xx

I have ducted air conditioner @ENKELI . Getting a solar battery and new panels in early January. Heating is expensive but cooling is not. I already have panels.
