Something’s not right

Hard

Hard

Life can just be so darn hard sometimes

So scary

Feeling afraid to even make a sandwich. Feeling afraid to talk to loved ones because you might bring them down too. Feeling like everything is out of your control.

I know we have to focus on now. And right now I am safe.

But why do I feel so afraid

What would you do right now if you could anything?

Re: Hard

Hello @Rosewntg2bloom. My response is more to say Hello than to offer words of consolation. Hopefully, others will be along soon to be more helpful.

I can only say that perhaps you fear uncertainty and risk, and without anyone you feel able to confide in, thoughts whirl about, unresolved, in your mind. Usually these get blown out of all proportion as a result.

Life is hard sometimes. We just have to take it one step at a time.

Take care of yourself today. I can only send my best wishes.

Re: Hard

Hello Rose.

I hear the confusion and isolation in your words. The anguish.

I experience this sometimes, too. I wake up feeling afraid and I suppose, for me, its trauma related; anxiety; depression...

What ever the reason, it doesn't help it go away when it has you in its grips.

Perhaps you'll find some reprieve through connecting with others on the Forums.

Might I ask: have you been able to consult a health care practitioner? Have you any supports or medication to help at the moment? @Rosewntg2bloom

Kind regards. Hold on there, OK. You're free to talk it out here...

Re: Hard

Hi @Rosewntg2bloom,

Welcome to the Forums. My name is FloatingFeather and I am one of the peer support workers at SANE. I hope reaching out here helps bring you some comfort and makes you feel a little less overwhelmed and afraid. I'm really sorry to read you are feeling this way. It sounds like a really tough and overwhelming place to be.

I feel like a lot of people have felt the way you are feeling during their lifetime including me. Sometimes things can just feel like too much and you almost want to hide from the world to feel safer. The down side to that is you may also miss out on all the good stuff the world has to offer.

Do you have someone that you feel safe with to talk to about how you are feeling such as a GP, therapist or close friend? I think it would be helpful if you could share your true feelings with someone you can trust.

You can also reach out to the SANE Support Centre from 10am-10pm Monday to Friday. We have counsellors and peer support workers available to support you via phone (1800 187 263) or webchat.

We also have SANE Guided services which is our new guided service that provides free digital and telehealth services and ongoing tailored support to people over 18 years of age with complex mental health needs and their families and carers SANE Guided Service.

Please feel free to post here anytime too - there are a lot of kind and supportive members, many of which may have felt just like you are feeling now.

Warm wishes,

FloatingFeather
