Hi everyone
I’m trying to navigate how I move through life happily by myself without any attachment or support from my friends and family
please ask questions if I have not made sense

Hi @Simone-1
Welcome to the Forums!
Thank you for posting about your challenges with family and friends and not having attachments and support. This is very common with people who experience mental health issues and I have experienced isolation from friends and the community for many years myself. Moving through life like this is an individual choice of how you manage but the Forums might thave some suggestions for you.
I have used Meetup to create connection and social experiences without needing to reveal too much about myself. Volunteering is also a great way to socialise as meaningful work can provide social connection. Studying is also great and again you don't have to reveal too much or make friends beyond the classroom. Also focusing on what you can control in your life like how you spend your time in a purposeful and meaningful way can bring satisfaction and connection to enjoyment.
Hopefully, this has provided some insight and starts you on a journey of discovery for your own path.
Take care

You've made perfect sense, @Simone-1. It sounds like new territory for you. I've been on this path for many years. It is all a matter of finding your feet, then finding out who you are without others' input to guide or mislead. It can be fun, challenging and rewarding. I wish you the best in your venture.

Start simple, @Simone-1, and build from there. Success breeds success. And if you fail, learn to pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and try again...and again...and again. As often as it takes.

hello that’s wonderful that you want to Find independence and find Happiness
from experience I currently now live on my own and I don’t have any family it was really hard to navigate at the first guy worked out what suited me I have a list that I go through when I’m not feeling well or having a bad day or moment I’ll go through my list and if one doesn’t work I’ll go to the next one and so on our use 1800 Trauma to help me unpack those really uncomfortable emotions that is second last on my list I usually don’t ever get to the last one which is PRN also look into the community and try different types of therapy I’m doing art therapy at the moment and that’s really good it helps me get out the house and socialise you just gotta find what suits you and be strong you can do this on your own you going tohave those urges really miss those people that you had in your life but just try to remember yourself in your happy independent place it’s exciting chapter the start I wish you good luck for your journey xxxx
