I dont know how I am gonna recover from this. Im pretty stressed about this tonight. Ive been off work on unpaid leave since 16/1/23 so a while. I had no savings but my sister was sick and I was starting to struggle due to caring for her and really had no choice but to go on leave. Added to which my employer was very much of the opinion that I should not be at work for a while, while these things were dealt with as I was having a fair but of unpaid leave at short or immediate notice. So yeah leave was very much encouraged by my employer and GP.
Initially, leading up to taking leave I spoke to my Dad about it and he said we would work it out. Come the time to ask for some money and grumps on. Everytime I have needed money, grumps on. A) Im looking after your child, because you guys cant. Ive spent all the money I had, I had borrowed money from my sister, everything has been spent on this B) Im sick, Im getting sicker, if something doesnt change I will get really sick and it did.
Today Ive made a few topical post, but something that is has been on my mind for a bit is how much of a bad way this has put me in financially. Like I intended to write a post about it. I had to ask Dad tonight for another $2k, that will least me a bit over a fortnight. Hopefully by the time I use that money my income protection will kick in. I will also get a back pay that will go directly to Dad. I asked him for it, grumps on and he said I have no idea how you will ever repay this. Im sick, your daughter's sick and Im caring for her and your big worry is how I will repay you.
We then talked about my upcoming GP appointment, most of the appointment is centred around my return to work. I said to Dad that I had intended to ask to go back to work 10 hours a week, I thought that was a reasonable step back in the pool, see how I handle a little work with the stress Im under. But now that I have had a psychotic break, I have my doubts thats going to happen, I doubt it will happen until after I start meetings with the Psychiatrist she has referred me too. I told Dad that and his response was that he thinks I should just go back to work.
I said to Dad that I would like to go back to work, Id like it to be like old times where I came down (I work from home) and see my sister, etc. I dont know if going back to work or not is a good idea, to which he replied neither do I. I though to myself firstly, if you dont know shut up and secondly thats why see my GP and they make the decision not me.
It doesnt change the fact that I was pretty messed up financially before hand, this BS Bipolar 2 etc has cost me more than I had in the past and now its at it again.
