Just not feeling great

Just not feeling great

Im just feeling very overhelmed with everything. Sometimes my mind gets so scrambled that I cant even put how im feeling into words.

I feel so different to everyone else and I dont feel like i can connect with anyone. Im sick of the emotional pain, Im sick of my extreme mood swings, its so painful to deal with. I get so frustrated with myself that I cant deal with things in a normal way, as soon as anything bad happens I just get so dark. Sometimes I just feel like I cant go on like this, its unbearable.

I have tried so hard to get better, but im just so tired. I find it annoying when people say suicide is selfish and what about every one you leave behind? Why cant I just do something for myself.

Re: Just not feeling great

Hi @Billie

I was about to start a thread almost the same"Just don't feel good". I have brought forward my appt with my pdoc to next week. I am concerned at the outcome because it might mean going back to MAOI ADs and the diet restriction etc. I feel like I have lost confidence in my ability to do things. I actually do them okay when I get into it but am afraid to start sometimes. I think the one thing at a time is for me and break the task down to very manageable chunks. I long for the time my brain doesn't feel like breaking out of my head! I want the tears to stop.

I'm hanging in there taking each moment at the time, I hope you can do similar.

You are loved.

Cheers

then my estranged child asks to come and stay one night a week. That makes me feel a bit better.

Hi @Arjay thanks for your reply,

Im sorry your feeling this way, obviously i can relate and I am glad if my previous thread has made you feel less alone.

I can relate to how frustrated you must feel when your brain is seemingly betraying you in your own head and the thoughts in are so destructive and negative that you lose all confidence, determination and motivation.

Im glad to hear that you are managing the best you can and are approaching each day at a time. You should also feel proud of yourself that you made the effort to bring forward your psych apointment instead of suffering in silence. Celebrate each small achievement at a time.

On a side note, I personally have never been on MAOI ADs, so cannot say for personal experience. But I am aware that these meds are similar to those for Parkinson's disease (I am a dietitian), and shouldn't be taken within 0.5-2hrs of consuming protein-containing foods. So if your Dr puts you back on these meds it may be worth having a bit of a search on the internet to avoid dietary restriction - but focus more on 'timing' of foods. Im sure you would also be able to get a referral to a dietitian which would be able to give you personalised advice on how to manage this, which may ease the stress. This is just a comment though, talk to your doctor or a dietitian in person about your diet with MAOI ADs.

Hang in there, all the best!

Hi @Billie

hope you're going okay. Yep just one day at a time and hopefully next week we can sort a few things out.I was on the MAOIs for 8 yrs and had a couple of hypertensive episodes, one real bad when BP went 220/120. My previous pdoc said if you go out have steak and chips!

Yesterday I got a bit of gardening done caught up with my daughter and we saw my grand daughter she hadn't seen her for almost a year.

Let me know how you have gone.

You are loved.

Cheers
