Do people want to have hard conversations with you after they have listened to your songs, and read their lyrics though? And do you have conversations with your family and friends about what you have created? Sometimes your music may also help others have hard conversations too.

Re: Topic Tuesday// Music is Medicine// Tuesday 18th April 2023 5:30-7PM AEST

How does music and art serve as an outlet for you to channel experiences into? What does creativity, like music, give that other activities don't?

Music isn't actually the only outlet that I use to express what I'm feeling but it's definitely my favorite. Movement like dance or exercise is another really great way to let out feelings. I was a dancer before I was a songwriter, so I have a strong tie to pretty much anything creative. The main difference between creative activities over others is that there are no rules in creating art which means there are no limitations or barriers. You can feel whatever you want to feel and express it freely. I think there's so much power in that. ❤️

Well I usually stuff my emotions. Using music as a tool I can find a way to release these pent up feelings. Sometimes I just need to listen to a really sad song and have a good cry. It can be cathartic

Definitely feel you on listening to a really sad song and getting out all my crying! It oddly makes me feel a lot better afterwards as well, but music is a great hand to hold while I'm feeling like that @Oaktree

@Blossom497 You must psychic !! This is definitely something i wanted to touch on tonight!! I do find talking to my listeners easier than talking to my family but that's mostly because its online and having hard conversations in person is always more confronting. However, it can also be really amazing to sit down with people you trust and love and tell them whats really going on.

@Sconstantine

I saw photos of you on your album covers and I want to say that you are beautiful. I am sorry to hear that you struggled with disordered eating in your youth.

I hope that you are well now
