How do I deal with not knowing what's real

How do I deal with not knowing what's real

I don't know what is really happening and what is paranoia.

Everything is scary.

I think I saw an old worker at the dog park and think she was surveilling me. I didn't let it bother me too much as I was enjoying my time with the dogs but at home this evening I thought there were cameras on me. Logically I know it's unlikely but I still think it's true half the time. Whether it is real or not how do I deal with these thoughts myself without relying on people I don't always feel safe with?

I agree that not knowing the whole picture it's easier lf you can see the world with rose colored glasses, it's just when you know for a fact that people have been lying to you about somethings it's very hard to trust anything. You don't know where the facts end and the delusion starts. When there are so many pieces of a puzzle that are facts but you can't put them together coherently the world becomes a very scarey place.

Yip! This is what I’m navigating too..

im trying to work out the why. Although I’m unsure this is the correct approach.. that why changes it seems.

maybe the first step to getting to solid ground *is* knowing when folks aren’t giving you the whole or real truth? Maybe you are more able to notice the bullshit?

it seems to me that everyone has their own bubble. Your bubble being different challenges their bubble and that’s uncomfortable.

it is scary. And too hard for the most part. I like to think people are doing the best they can and you just gotta find your own anchor.. but this is probably also not entirely reality.

Are these people that are misleading you people you can talk to about it? You are good at explaining yourself and communicating your hurdles.. maybe you can discover some supporting reason?

I think I can talk with some of them but struggle to trust. I feel like the people who I think are understanding where I'm at are the people I least want to make waves with or upset. And the people I don't connect with as much are people I don't trust to be honest with me but they are the ones most likely to be able to help me put the puzzle together.

Yes I think I do have to find an anchor to hold onto. Just don't know what that looks like.

I'd really really like to be able to choose the blue pill it's just too big to swallow.

Apologies- had my own little thing to navigate.

I think there’s a way to take the facts of the people you’re not sure about. But I think I might know what you mean.

Try have your own mind and opinions.

Have you done much dbt? Maybe a 5 senses check will help strengthen your reason over any paranoia?

Hi Square Round. I'm doing my best to get through day to day. I'm working on getting back to basics and recover. I do desensitizing things day by day and work on DBT skills when I'm able. Sometimes it gets beyond me. Managing a fractured mind and adult responsibilities is difficult but you can only do what you can and then take another step.

When everything is out of your control you can only try and control yourself.
