Strange idea

Strange idea

I've had this strange, recurring idea that people have been listening to my self-talk for quite some time. The idea started years ago but became more of a genuine concern when I started using smart phones. When you look at the way apps work on smart phones many of them want microphone and camera access even if they don't need it to operate. It would be quite easy to make your phone a constant listening device, plus it could also listen in on phone calls, record text messages, and follow your internet history. In short, anybody's life could be monitored 24/7. Having bad experiences with the mental health service has meant I have not mentioned this to anyone, rather just put up with the idea and play along with the scenario. It's actually quite fun to think I am offending people who should know to have more respect for others. It's kind of the reason I don't feel inclined to do anything much in life as with this level of scrutiny normal life would become completely impossible.

Re: Strange idea

Further to that, if anybody had the desire to peer that far into somebody else's life then they would have a serious behavioural problem. If that were actually happening they could expect to feel offended, especially if the target knew it was happening and was baiting them.
