Hams' PLace

Hams' PLace

Saw an apartment today. Only a temporary stay of 3 months, But it is good and close to transport

Will finally have my own space to plan out my life.

Looking forward to having my own area.

This week I have a presentation at work - am i nervous? no. I just want to do it well.

Not too long ago I probably would've been feeling anticipatory anxiety over it.

Do not worry about the future - for you will face it with the same tools you have faced the past with.

See yous around

Re: Hams' PLace

Hi @MDT

I'm sorry about the bad luck about finding a place to live - just to try out flying from the nest for a short time would have been a good start

After all - to really learn about life we really need to stretch our wings and take a look at the world on our own terms. I had to be married to leave home - a long time ago now - Dad was very strict about life in general - a very kind and loving man who really cared. I am glad society is more accepting in this day and age.

My daughter moved out very young and did well - my granddaughter moved interstate. Each generation is flying further and further.

Well - my grandparents migrated from England when they were very young - and my Dad was a toddler and they never saw their families again. That must happened a lot - so - what's next?

Maybe people will live on the moon - or Mars - I can imagine more comforting environments but life does change

And great news about that presentation going well - fantastic to hear that

Best wishes for today Hams

Owlunar.

Re: Hams' PLace

The idea of living on the moon sort of appeals to me to be honest with you there @Owlunar

Plenty of room haha - or should I say space....

Thank you for your best wishes

Today has been a bit of an odd one I must admit.

Got a lot of life admin done so that was good. Dentist and optician over and done with.

Then just chilled in the arvo and tried to finish my books. I gave up in the end - too deep and I've been flogging them like dead horses.

I had a chat with my manager yesterday about an event that took place on friday that I should've been on top of at work. That's our job in the end.

I'm okay with it. Being back on meds has helped I must admit.

I'm gonna go for a walk soon before I eat.

In a couple of weeks time I have 1 weeks leave from work and so I will probably go up to QLD for a bit by the beach and chill.

figure out my next moves in life

It's hard for me atm because of my relationship and seeing my partner strain herself over study and work just to make ends meet. I feel bad for her. But I also can't be expected to give up on what I want in my life - and this is the problem I am facing at the moment - knowing what it is I actually WANT. It's a hard question.

I don't know whether I should leave work and figure it out and then go for it. Or to just wait for a bit, go on this week away and then decide? Or perhaps it is the right fit for me and I just gotta get through the hard part hey?

Being self conscious doesn't help either. But that is slowly dissipating I think.

I was initially annoyed at being back on meds but I think that they are a suitable help for times like this.

I have gone into a bit of a deep analysis there sorry. But it helped
