Hi everyone

Hi everyone

I guess when it says looking after ourselves it involves having a relationship where the two love each other. I was thinking earlier that maybe I need to living on my own. But then again, I have loving partner who cares for me etc. I thought if I lived on my own it be better, but I'll be lonely.

Also I have a job interview on Monday for Office Admin Assistant. I'm nervous about it.

Hey @TinTin1 ,

Thanks for sharing!

Great to see you connect with our forums community.

I've come across numerous instances where people living alone consider what it would be like to live with someone; then conversely, those who live with a partner consider what it would be like to live alone.

It seems it's human nature to consider whether grass is greener on the other side.

All in all, if you are satisfied with yourself, from experience, whether you live with someone or not, you'll still be satisfied.

See you around on the forums!

Hi @TinTin1 , I'm happily single and I look after myself. But then again my personality and life experiences suit that, and not everyone's does. If you have a loving partner, that sounds good to me.

Good luck with your job interview on Monday! 🤞

hi...

..dont be nervious re interview. Go in thinking this is the perfect job for you and you are the perfect fit.

Worry about whether you actually want the job or can do it, once they offer it to you - everything before they offer it to you is wasted energy.

Remember to have some pre thought out answers but dont rattle them off like they are planned, keep the idea but speak in the moment.

i once got a job purely becuase i was the only one interested enough to ask to look at the equipment i would be using...

Employers like to see you in that role so help them see you as that engaging person they greet everymorning while grabbing coffee.

Just some thoughts, itwill be an adventure if nothing else and you will grow from it

I’m feeling a bit more abstract here. Looking after yourself has many dimensions - physical, emotional, psychological, etc. And relationships of course. And those can take on many forms (in my experience people enter into relationships for lots of reasons, so what they get out of them varies enormously).

I’m currently in a long-term friendship with someone I love…who lets me be alone when I need space (sometimes I need a lot of that). So I don’t think it’s a failure to not to be “loved-up”. It’s more important to just find your own groove.

Hi Scout,

I didn't end up going for the job interview, I dunno I felt I wasn't suited for it, eventhough I wasn't there to hear what my duties were. I dunno I love working in the office but I also like engaging in with people. But when I'm in alot of pressure in a job, I don't do well.

In my last employment I was working for a law firm, mainly scanning, photocopying. File archives. I surprised myself, when ever I was walking out front of the reception, the client would ask me that their there to see someone in the office. I'd ask their name and I went to the person their after and let that person know. When I went back to my desk I was like, wow, I talk and helped the clients.

I guess if I just naturally talk to customers I can work in admin where I'm talking to people.

When I was younger had little confidence in myself, I didn't do well with customers when I worked for company I was put at the front counter. After I told employment agencies I was with I don't want to work where i'm answering phones, or dealing with customers face to face. Just tasks that doesn't involve customers.

I guess I just need to be kind to myself, and have ago at talking to clients.

Hi @TinTin1 ,

Different jobs suit different personalities, you need to be aware of the roles of the job so that you feel comfortable there.

Hi I'm still struggling in my mind about being in this relationship with my partner. We been together for 7 years.

I don't know what I should do.

My mental health is not all that stabled at the moment.
