Something’s not right

Somethings not right

Somethings not right

I don’t know why I keep falling down again. I pick myself up and go back down again. There doesn’t even have to be anything specific to make me crash. I hate myself so much I don’t know how to stop. My mind is my own worst enemy

Re: Somethings not right

If a mind speaks in illusions and knows that it speaks in illusions, wouldn't that mean it's then disillusioned?

And if an illusion maker becomes disillusioned, can we still call it a mind, or do we call it something else?

(Hopefully that will keep your enemy busy for a few seconds. (Now tie it's shoelaces together and see how it likes being tripped.))

Hey @DID82

Our minds are often our own worst enemies. If only there was a way to switch those negative and untrue thoughts into positive ones. I find when I get in this negative headspace I need to find something to do that totally distracts me. Is there something you can do to distract your mind?

Sending warmest wishes

Mate why on earth would you hate yourself ! I think you need to have a good hard look at yourself and remember who you are and what you're all about and remember that you came to this world to make it a better place ,then go out and make that happen - tc buddy , from Rhys

TRIGGER WARNING:

Depression, suicidality

Ain't. That. The. Truth.

I get it. Continuing to get disappointment and (sometimes) shame can really make us feel like our efforts don't create any change. So, what's the point, right? We've tried A through Z and still nothing works, right? I feel exactly the same when I get into a really bad state. I think it's important to know is that when we're feeling like this, we think we're seeing reality for exactly what it is, right? "This is how my life is, and this is how it will always be." But quite literally, our brain is not seeing things as they are in this state. Kind of like we have blinders on. But when we're in another state (say, a happier state) we don't see our life the same way. We see options, we see alternative ways of thinking, we can even see evidence against what we think.

What's helped me so much with this, is this traffic light system I worked on with my psych when I was in hospital years ago.

Happy to explain it to you if you'd like but I understand sometimes we just want to get things out.

Wishing you the best
