Inconvenience (me)

Inconvenience (me)

I'm tired of 'being' an inconvenience to everyone. I'm tired of the problems that i seem to cause. People (family) want you to be well but do absolutely nothing to help you and then wonder why you spiral down. I feel like absolute crap about myself. There is a massive rift in our family right now and everybody is angry, and with it being Christmas this weekend, it just causes more issues. Every effin Christmas there is a problem. I can't deal with this stress - it really upsets me. None of this makes me want to be here anymore....I already felt like this but all of this just pushes me further in the direction of wanting to disappear....I don't have the energy

I've also been having yet another uphill x-mas.

One trick I've been having some success with is having mental health safety talks, BUT, instead of saying mental health safety I say "Xmas spirit".

It's basically the same thing. AND, if to some it isn't, their beef isn't with you, it's with Xmas.

I relate to what you're experiencing. My life has essentially been a series of crises, yet even family have always been happy to stand back and let it happen. Even when I returned from living overseas during a relationship separation and didn't have a place to stay, no one would put me up. You wonder who'll be there for you in times of need, and often you find out that it's not your family.
Sorry to hear about your Christmas stresses. It's not a recommendation for you to do the same, but I don't even make plans any more.

Hey @Loz_3647 ,

Have I ever directed you to our Raising Awareness of BPD - Flipping the Script ? You may be interested.

I also can't remember if I've sent you the link to our Guided Service (I believe I have): https://www.sane.org/referral

This time of year can be very tough for some people. I know it was tough for me in the past. I couldn't understand, nor have the energy, for all the kerfuffle. Now, I've learnt to pace myself for it. I just go out when I feel like it and stay home otherwise.

I also make sure I keep a regular routine - eating, sleeping, waking. I helps me stay on top of things when so much already seems chaotic out there.
