Stigma
so today i went to hang out with some friends one of them i have known a while the others i am new too but they all seem like nice people except for one little problem. we decided to watch a movie and we decided in the end on watching "the good nurse" well when the movie finished we all started to talk about why he did it and 2 of the people who are nurses themselves kept saying how he must have had psychosis or BPD and how people with psychosis are unpredictable and act violently without any cause and i just sat there and part of me wanted to say something but i just didnt feel like i could none of there friends know about my mental health issues or what i go through and after hearing their opinions tonight i guess that is for the best. it just makes me sad that people still have these outdated and harmful views on psychosis and mental illness like we really havent made much progress reducing stigma of psychosis if even trained nurses think that way.
