anxiety

in april i was punched in the head by a girl that used to be my bestfriend, it doesn’t sound that bad but since then i can’t go anywhere without being so scared that it’ll happen again i don’t even feel safe in my own home. i’m constantly living in fear as being a teenager these days all most girls want to do is bash people/fight. i feel as though i want to end my life because im living in constant fear so i don’t do anything or go out. it’s so depressing.

Hey @ruby11

I am so sorry that happened to you, that must have been really challenging to navigate (both physically and emotionally), especially as she was your best friend. I agree with you, arguments can turn violent so quickly in some situations and it is very unpredictable.

Have you spoken to your best friend, or anyone (professional or not) about what you went through with your best friend and how they reacted physically due to it? It might be good to speak to others about it as they could validate how you are feeling and maybe even provide other perspectives that could help you to navigate these kinds of situations moving forward.

Sending virtual hugs,

Hello @ruby11

Welcome to the forum. I have been posting on it for a long time and found it helpful in a few ways. Getting some things off my chest, making friends on here, and also trying to help others.

Sorry your "friend" assaulted you.

People often blame men for all violence but I was attacked a few times by girls when I was growing up. They were not my friends though. Though one bully did later ask me to join her gang ... which I refused. It makes it extra complicated for you as you may not want to risk the whole history and relationship you had with her. Also if an attack came from a so called friend it could come from anywhere.

Life is often about facing our fears. Dont give up on all of life. Maybe take one challenge at a time.
