Hi All, my first post.
My psychiatrist is treating one of my alters for PTSD. This alter is a protector, sometimes he “edits the truth” of what he tells me, supposedly in my best interests. My psychiatrist won’t tell me what they have discussed, does anyone think this odd or does respecting my alters privacy override my wish to know?

Every DID system is different but there are some of my experiences. I am now in my early 60s, I was only diagnosed after my heart trauma, five? years ago. Suddenly a heap of things in my life made sense in the context of DID, eg the change at 27. I didn’t realise that other people didn’t experience the things I do until I did a “Dissociative Experience Scale” test, this was an eye opener!
I have parked the privacy issue for now.
I know I saw some forum guidelines on suicide discussion but cannot find it again. Suffice to say I have had shit day again. I have just done a meditation session but couldn’t quiet the voices in my head. However no need for concern I am ok for now. Hope you had a great day. 💜

I will be ok tonight, my wife and I will be having her home made pizza and watching movies. Day time is when I seem to be most down.

Had the pizza, yum! Will be watching a movie on Netflix, don’t know what yet. Yes I am feeling better tonight, took an antipsychotic earlier, that helps too. Again thanks for asking
