Peer Group Chat // Nurturing A Growth Mindset // Thursday 10th November 2022, 7-8:30PM AEDT

Our Peer Group Chat on Thursday 10th November 2022 will be on the topic of Nurturing A Growth Mindset.

It can be helpful for us to nurture a ‘growth mindset’ (where we see our abilities as being capable of growth) as opposed to having a ‘fixed mindset’ (where we see our abilities as fixed). A growth mindset can be applied to abilities in life generally, and to how we see ourselves as capable of coping and recovery. Join this conversation to reflect on how we can nurture our mindset so that we can become more capable of growth.

Within this upcoming Peer Group Chat, you can expect us to cover:

• What a growth mindset is, and how this can look different for everyone
• How to support yourself within developing a growth mindset
• Strategies to nurture growth vs fixed mindsets

For anyone unfamiliar with Peer Group Chats, each focuses on a specific topic and is guided by Peer Workers with lived experience of mental health issues and recovery, &/or caring for someone with complex mental health. A counsellor is also present to assist in ensuring a safe environment for individuals and the group. It is a space for us as peers to share our stories and experiences, and connect with those who are going through something similar.

The event start times across Australia are below:

NT: 5:30pm

SA: 6:30pm

QLD: 6pm

NSW, ACT, VIC & TAS: 7pm
