Psychologist

Psychologist

Hi everyone, @Former-Member @Shaz51 @Peregrinefalcon @Jynx @PossumSocks @NatureLover

Hope your all well.

I’ve just had the worst start to my week yesterday I found out that I can’t see my psychologist anymore as she is moving on to another job at the uni. I have a psychologist I’ve been doing a cognitive assessment with so hopefully I can see him. I have an appointment with both of them on Thursday so I’ll find out what going to happen. I can’t believe this has happened though like I’m happy she has got a new job. I just feel a bit sad about it knowing how hard it is to open up to people and to have to go through that again is just annoying. Anyway thanks for letting me vent I needed this.

Very Annoying my friend, thinking of you on Thursday when you see them both and to see what the next step is xx

Re: Psychologist

I can believe it @Birdofparadise8

My husband has had lots of them over the years and he does not cope well with changes at all xxx

Re: Psychologist

Yeah same I don’t like it at all. It’s just so confused to why it’s happened all of a sudden and especially since I only saw her Friday. Let’s hope I can at least see the psych for the cognitive assessment for longer then I don’t have to meet someone new and explain everything again. @Shaz51

Re: Psychologist

Hi @Birdofparadise8,

How frustrating for you - I can understand where you are coming from. It takes time, trust, and a how lot more to feel comfortable sharing your personal stories with any therapist. It sounds like you have a really good working relationship with yours. Hopefully in the meeting on Thursday you can all come on with a plan that will help you around your cognitive assessment.

Vent away - it's an understandable situation that you would want to vent about.

All the best,

FloatingFeather

Re: Psychologist

Oh no @Birdofparadise8!

This is very sad news for you. Like you said, exciting for her, but devastating for you. It is very hard to build rapport with somebody, and have to explain your story many times. Not to mention finding someone that you click with. Hopefully this new journey will be as smooth as it possibly can be for you ❤️

How was your day other than that?

How about you @NatureLover @Shaz51 @Peregrinefalcon @Jynx @PossumSocks?

What are you going to do tonight? What is something you might be able to do, to treat yourself?
