Hey @ray_of_sunshin3 , I DO have BPD but I'm not sure that what you are mentioning is BPD-related. My issues with BPD were really to do with emotional dysregulation and issues with relationships.
In terms of motivation, remembering appointments and housework, that was more to do with my depression rather than BPD. When I was depressed, I found comfort in zoning out and dissociating so I wouldn't have to 'feel'. I'd rather have stayed under the blanket all day that have to face the world. The world was too much for me.
The reason I didn't remember things was because I preferred not to remember things. It was safer that way so I wouldn't get hurt. But for dates and appointments, I had no issue....well, let's say I had no issue until I fried my brain from an O.D. and lost my memory. I had to retrain my brain to remember things. I refused to use a diary and worked on remembering first 1 or 2 things, and gradually more. Nowadays, I have too much to remember so yes, I've reverted back to a diary - but for years I never kept a diary with the hope of recovering my brain/memory.
Bottom line, having BPD doesn't mean you won't have other MH conditions which may affect the areas of your life which you have mentioned. It's good to speak to your doctor if you are concerned - everyone is different.
