Hi @looneytunz. Here on the forums I've noticed we do not discuss individual medications. I'm pretty sure it's against community guidelines.
If you're concerned about your medications and/or reactions with them, can you discuss this with your treating team?

Hi @looneytunz great to 'meet' you. Queenie is right, we have guidelines around mentioning specific medications.
You are able to mention 'families' of medications eg 'Anti-depressants, mood stabilisers' but not specific brands.
This is because each medication impacts each person differently, and there's so many variables at play that it can be harmful to take and share advice about specific meds.
You can read more in our Community Guidelines: http://saneforums.org/t5/About-the-forum-including/Forum-Guides/m-p/105960#M1037
Great suggestion from Queenie - is this something you can discuss with your treating team?

I would also recommend not looking on other sites either. The amount of disinformation is astounding. Doctors know their shit, trust them. And remember it takes time. It took me 18 months before I really understood the full benefits of the medications I'm on.

My psychiatrist took in my personality disorder, bipolar, and anxiety all into account when prescribing me.
Trust your experts. They may take a few goes to get it right, but it's more accurate than picking based on somebody else's experience.

Trial & error had been my experience. There's so many antidepressants on the market now.If theres no improvement in three months do negotiate a change with your doctor. I have finally found one that works good for me. My switched on new GP quickly picked up on trauma / PTSD and recommended an AD known to be good for this disorder, Plus, it doesn't make me gain weight. The biggest benefit for me, most noticeable change, has been a significant - reduction in social anxiety, also dissociating and panic attacks.
Having said that, the times these episodes do break through seem to be when i neclect my
- nutrition, epecially egies (my magic soup)
