Loss

Loss

Today I'm felling really sad and down and just want to curl up in a ball.

12years ago tomorrow I lost my beautiful baby daughter Zoe @22week for no apparent reason. Not a day goes by I don't miss her but the 1st of September is always the hardest. I often wonder if I had done something different my daughter would still be with us today. My ex husband use to always blame me and say it was my fault that she died as i was carrying her. When Zoe died it felt like a piece of me died at the same time.

I try and do something special with my daughter I that lives with me every year so that we don't forget Zoe.

Re: Loss

Hi there @Freedom11

I am so sorry for the pain you are going though. You are so strong and brave to share your story with us.

There is no time limit on grief and it is good that you are able to listen to yourself and allow your self the space to grieve.
It is ok that this anniversary is hard and painful. I would not expect anything less. I think it is a testament to your love. But I’m so sorry that it hurts so much.

Nothing will ever take away the fact that you are Zoe’s mother. Zoe is so lucky to have a mum who loves her so dearly.

I do not know why your ex would be so cruel to you. People can say shitty things when they are in denial and are hurting. But that is no excuse for his words and his horrible behaviour. It’s disgusting and untrue. You are a wonderful mother and it’s clear that you have done anything for your child. So sad that he lacked the empathy to put himself in your shoes and try to understand what this might be like for you.

Im so sorry that you had to have all of these experiences.
Please take care of yourself during this sacred and painful time. You are not alone and if you need to chat please reach out or call one of the lovely SANE support workers. We are here for you.

Re: Loss

@Freedom11 I'm so sorry for your loss. As a mum as well, this is a pain unfathomable and my heart goes out to you.

I'm wondering if you are in contact with SANDS? They may be able to offer you some support. I hope you have kind people around you today.

Sending hugs 💝

Re: Loss

A sad day for you @Freedom11. Life can be cruel, can't it, but I guess that's the price we pay for being part of it? There are no words I can offer to ease your pain, so I can only let you know that we understand your pain and send you our best wishes. Take care.
