🎙 Podcast. Podcast. Podcast. 🎙

🎙 Podcast. Podcast. Podcast. 🎙

Hey forum!

I've noticed a podcast size hole in this forum! This thread is for us forumites to share the podcasts we love with each other, and why we like them.

There are probably MILLIONS of podcasts out there across dozens of genres and topics. No two are the same. So where do we start?

We listen to podcasts for A LOT of reasons. Maybe to

  • Learn something new
  • Distract ourselves
  • To find inspiration

I'm starting this thread and could love for anyone reading to answer some questions

  1. Share a podcast with us including a description (and trigger warning if necessary). If you are LOOKING for podcast recommendation, let us know!
  2. Why you like the podcast
  3. A link so we can listen along!

This thread is for any genre or topic podcast! Share below what kind of podcast you've been listening to or are looking for ❤️

Looked at the link @Glisten Liked that description of content was intelligent enuff to discuss differences between overt and covert N etc

... but sorry got put off by the baddass and f&&&... I see that as a kind of N in itself... so a bit of the pot calling the kettle black. Maybe there is good stuff on podcast but I have been investigating N for about 40 years so ... probably nothing new for me on it. I dont make a big deal about the N ... I kind of seeit as the new saints and sinners dichotomy ... eg "I am an empath and she's a N ..."

People are always more complicated than dichotomies.

Hugs tho. Good to see U.

Two years ago I stumbled across a podcast called Tales of Britain and Ireland by Graeme Cooke from Yorkshire. This guy is a true bard, fantastic storyteller.

Recently Graeme has had Sold Out gigs doing live storytelling Folktale circuits in UK pubs. So successful that tickets are now being sold for a Live Feed gig.

He tells these tales with cleverly interjected, almost missable, modern references creating hilarious asides. This guy is nothing short of a storytelling genius.

Definitely not for children, surviving paganism and a bit folk-horror.

Graeme has dropped another episode. You can find it here.

@tonysa similar sense of humour and uses words to paint a picture.

Philosophise This

It's all about, you guessed it, Philosophy.

I like how it tackles even the more difficult and challenging philosophers like Nietzche.

I listened to this neuroscience podcast this morning.

I think you’re really going to like it.

From the transcript:

“cortisol is the main stress hormone and it will leak out of our sweat about this far around us, go into the skin of everybody else and it's going to impact them. And as a survival mechanism, it will help you to store fat around your abdomen.”

@MissGremlin Graeme Cook who writes and narrates the podcast Tales of Britain and Ireland has been keeping me entertained, making me laugh and putting me to sleep for five years.
