Re: In a bad mood today

S**t Sorry @ArraDreaming I meant to say DONT GIVE UP. Even if you can give them $500 and make weekly payment, you can probably keep them at bay, but it has been 40 years since I worked there so dont quote me.

I know the fear of the authorities, gaol and all that, and they can can really do the fear tactics on you.

However, honestly if it is not due to deliberate fraud but genuine misunderstanding, then they have to have respect to your full circumstances.

Dont give up, small business is a steep learning curve, its a curve ball, bat it on, and you can survive the rough and tumble.

Re: In a bad mood today

Evening @ArraDreaming, I'm sorry to see that this is upsetting you. I'm not sure what state you are in but there are community legal centres that provide assistance to people on low income, and you can always contact the ATO anonymously to ask questions around your tax query.

Uncertainty is often tough to sit with, so I'm wondering if you can do something to support yourself tonight? Perhaps a movie or tv show etc that you can keep your mind occupied with until you can formulate a plan for how to manage this moving forward.

Re: In a bad mood today

Hi @ArraDreaming, is there someone you can chat to this evening that can help you talk through your concerns? I'm wondering if you might find it helpful to contact the SANE counselling service to discuss the distress you're feeling around this worry – the counselling service is open till 10pm tonight and the number is 1800 187 263.

Please go gently with yourself this evening @ArraDreaming.
