Something’s not right

I can’t cope

I can’t cope

Hi. I’m new and have never been in anything like this before.
I’m really struggling with depression at the moment and just need a place to vent.
there is no reason as to why I feel this way. I just hate myself and feel like I’m an unworthy and useless person. I don’t have a partner or many friends. I feel like I keep pushing them away when I’m down. I’m just not worthy of them. I hate life and just wish I would go to sleep and not wake up. I feel so much emotional pain inside but numb at the same time. None of this makes any sense but it just how I feel.

Re: I can’t cope

I think we can appreciate that they are being open and honest with you @Captain24 .

Prepare yourself. For me, I set the date rather than being told "You need to leave by this date". This mean I was in control. So mentally, I prepared myself. I always knew it was coming.

And no, they definitely connected me with supports before discharge.

I hope it will be the same for you.

I'll be heading off now. I'll be on on the weekend sometime. I'll tag you when I'm on 🙂

Im laying in bed an can’t be bothered to get out of it.

There doesn’t seem to be any point anymore.

Maybe I should just give up

Re: I can’t cope

Hey @Captain24 ,

Sorry to hear things are feeling this way today.

I'm a bit tired today because last night, after logging off, I promised I would have a sleep over at my niece's. So when I went there, she was sleeping in the middle of a double bed, on top of the doona, and had a little blanket on the floor next to her bed....

I assumed, her sleepover meant I had to sleep on the floor....hrmmm.. So like a 'good' aunty, I slept on the floor... after 3 hours of tossing and turning, I'm like... this is ridiculous! So I got up, hopped into bed and went to sleep...

Lol... so I can't say I had the best sleep.

But I always have in my mind that they will not be little kids forever. So I'm just going to grin and bear it for now.

Good afternoon @tyme

Ive just dragged myself out of bed. Im really hating myself, hating my life and I feel like I’m done with it all.

Oh no. Sounds like a fun sleepover 😉.

You are an awesome aunt. They do grow so quickly. Make the most of it while you can. It seems like my niece was 10 yesterday but she is 21 this year.

After I drive down the road and hid while mum and dad dropped Pix home last night. I came back and she was so excited to see me. So I got her out of the cot and put her on my bed. I have a queen size bed. Pixie lays in the middle. When I get comfortable (not in the middle) she lays behind me and keeps pushing into me. I end up on the edge of the bed and can’t move. Pixie doesn’t like to be woken up and gets a little cranky!

Re: I can’t cope

So sorry today started off a bit lousy. Is it hot where you are today?

Argh! Pix! A bit like my niece.... no matter how big the bed is, she's always on top of me or across my belly... I'm hanging off the edge of the bed. @Captain24

Re: I can’t cope

I’d say pretty lousy @tyme. I’ve even made a call. You know I’m in trouble if I have to call.

It’s warm here not hot. It’s 33 degrees and a dry heat so that’s good. I’ve been out laying in it. The dry heat hopefully means no thunderstorms. We don’t need the lightening to start any more fires. I had a water bombing helicopter flying over my house yesterday.

How the weather down there? Pool weather?

Re: I can’t cope

Do you think discharge is playing on your mind? @Captain24 . I know the word 'discharge' was very upsetting for me when I was first told I was going to be discharged from therapy.

Even if it is subconsciously playing on your mind? Only a thought.

Remember you can work in with them. It is your care. Ask them to link you in.

As for out 36 degree weather, I will be hopping off shortly to jump into the pool. I told my niece and nephew to get ready so that we can play dive toy games in the pool.

They don't come in the pool with me much. Although it is solar heated, they find it too cold.

Oh well. Even though I am tired, I think going for a swim is very refreshing and can take the tiredness away so I can sleep better tonight.

Any plans for the rest of the day?

Re: I can’t cope

Maybe it is @tyme I’m not sure it could be? Or maybe now the stress of fighting for my job is over?

I was thinking about it and I’m hoping that discharge was just a thought.

The pool sounds so good. I always find swimming refreshing. It will rejuvenate you!

If they complain about it being too cold tell them not to complain about being hot! Lol

As for my afternoon I’ll just do diamond art and go back out into the sun for a bit.

I hope you have a good afternoon swimming, I’m so jealous and can get some sleep tonight. No sleepovers. Lol
