Isolation

Isolation

Hi,

i feel so incredibly isolated, not like isolating at home because of covid etc and there are people around me and I socialise as I’ve been taught to do, but deep down I feel isolated, defeated and sad because I don’t understand the world and I cannot live as I am. I’m scared the isolation would just become worse if I lived as I am. I constantly have to pull myself back into this life and remind myself all is well. I’m just tired that if it. I don’t have the words.

Re: Isolation

Hi @petrichor

I hear you too and as others such as @Former-Member has indicated it is hard and is a day at a time.

Just wondering if you have anything in you toolbox that could help support you or support persons that you could call on. I do understand how much being different can be isolating, it can be so difficult to the most basic things.

The world is so weird and much as we are led to believe society is inclusive, we know for some of us it isn't.

Having to hide is soul destroying but eventually the oddness/eccentricity must show itself. I have found after many years that finding a small group who understand can be a good outlet. Eventually you can gradually become more yourself. Funnily enough an old friend told me that she had always known about my issues, it was quite surprising but it also gave me the confidence to begin the journey to me.

I hope you find that moment that opens the door. Love and light.

Re: Isolation

Hello,

Sorry to hear you're having such a difficult time though surrounded with people who are trying their best to understand but unfortunately not so. It's not pleasant to feel this way as I also feel very thr same as you do. Taking each day at a time, or if needs to be every few minutes. Try to stay in the present. I also suffer intensely with bpd and trying to stay in the present helps me

. Yours faithfully

Re: Isolation

@petrichor–a lifetime of being used, abused, exploited and betrayed has left me in

a very difficult situation. I just make the best I can of things, as we all do, I guess.

Take care.

Putting on your pride socks sounds so wonderful @petrichor ❤️ For me, I have one shirt which makes me feel so euphoric in myself, but nobody else would ever notice it was out of place! Much like your socks 😊

Good morning all

thanks for all the responses. I might stay offline for a bit again, I find the forums themselves overwhelming but really appreciate you taking time for me.

Take care x
