Re: Not good

Hey Friends

Today i had a feedback from one of my most recent interviews. I didn't get the job but the feedback was helpful.

I then had a summary interview from another role I applied to. I came out of that role feeling really overwhelmed. I felt like I was weak. Like I was pathetic. But I am slowly beginning to realise that most of this is self generated. I need to go deeper into that idea. That it is self generated. Internal.

I am going to ring a helpline and chat to them. I am not in good headspace today. But I guess I had a healthy lunch (pork leftover, salmon from a tin, yoghurt and some almonds). I had a crappy breakfast.

I went to the gp this morning and told him what was going on atm. I think he now understands my history. ITs a medical centre so i just see who is available. I don't mind telling my story to people over and over again. I am looking at getting a second opinion on my MH. I feel I could be dealing with a lot worse. But again Idk.

I'm hurting again. Inside. There's just too much going on around me and inside me. so many things to apply to, i feel behind the 8 ball, like i am missing out on life, that i should be enjoying my years. On sunday night we went for dinner and the area we went to has a lot of young people around and i just felt totally saddened by it. I know i am 28 and this is relatively young but i still look on my 20s with an element of disdain.

Sometimes I think I am invincible to being hurt but there are things that did hurt. Perhaps it is a coping mechanism on my part?

Right now I have "on the nature of daylight" playing in the background. It's a song I always come back to. Whether I'm sad, happy or pensive I always find it hits the right chord in me. It strikes me where I need it most in that moment.

Re: Not good

everything you did made sense at the time. perhaps try and leave it at that @MDT otherwise perfect storm for self-flagellation .. well unless you are into that jk soz lol

you're doing what you can. when just at dr's was video playing about diet and exercise and depression , apparently what u eat plus exercising til slightly breathless can really help things ..

fee crap today, things are moving on tho. got refund on accom from RAC for when waiting on car repairs(plus technically only had to be me 360 but not telling them lol , well they said only pay once car is in garage, but they stuffed me around. coul have been 600 0r 800 quite easily anyhoo

Re: Not good

Hey @MDT ,

There really does seem to be a lot happening- I can appreciate why you're not feeling well.

It's an interesting reflection you made on your 20s - I agree there is this societal idea that somehow your best years are when you're young/in your 20s. But I've also found my 20s really hard- for me, it's been a lot of experiencing and learning things (often the hard way) for the first time as an independent adult. Relatedly, it's been a time of a lot of learning.

I wish there were more realistic expectations from society about life in your 20s.

But I do think after the trials and tribulations, we can learn and develop resilience so life in the decades ahead of us can hopefully be lived with more ease. I've heard amazing things from some people in their 30s and 40s who say they've come to care less what others think and just generally live life in a more happy way. I can't wait for that!

Also yes, I don't think anyone is truly invincible to being hurt ❤️ I hope you can have a gentle day today. Take care

Re: Not good

Hello @MDT I've had some difficult past few days myself and put on 417hertz music off you tube which is said to clear negativity. I use it all the time its a Solfeggio frequency which rapidly disperses negativity within you.

Have also been doing all kinds of energy balancing ie chakras, cross-crawling to get the body into a proper homolateral pattern. I hate it when i have down days but i realise they may eventually go and I just have to deal with the emotional fallout and try to regain balance.

I have days when I'm not feeling my best and used to look back on interactions with others for clues about myself but as I got older just went ahead without caring. It comes with age. Too much delving and self analysis can be destructive so one day all this will stop. We all have tender soft spots but life becomes less personal and you have less time to waste

Sounds like you had an ok mealtime schedule. That is what I do - have structure and routine around my day. Routine is your best friend and will keep your body in its proper rhythm. Its those days when I feel like I have a less of a grip that routine becomes my saving grace. So stick to your routine as you would going to work. That is what I do.

My sense is you will feel better soon. I have missed out on stacks of opportunities my age group had. My 20's I was medicated out of my mind as back in the 1990's they used heavy toxic dosages not lowest possible dosage. My 30's got CFS and my 40's was able to gain traction and start to have some gratefulness for the gift of my own life.

I don't think its helpful comparing yourself to others. Every one of those people will have faced unique challenges and you don't know what their future holds. I think every single day is a gift in and of itself so try and find the light entering your life and possibly recognise that most people present their best side and are not being emotionally honest with you regarding their true situation.

I don't know if any of this makes sense, just be kind and caring to yourself is a good start

Re: Not good

Hi @Former-Member @TAB
Well I rang lifeline and it only went 27mins
They wound up the chat. Even the person on the phone sounded overwhelmed by what I said.
This is why I don't necessarily like calling support services.
What other support services are available?
