Topic Tuesday// Living a Meaningful and Fulfilling Life with Schizophrenia// Tues 31st May, 2022 7-8:30PM AEST

On Tuesday, 31st May 2022, we'd like to invite you to join us for a peer-led, lived experience discussion with SANE Peer Support Worker @RiverSeal for a safe place to talk about schizophrenia. In this event we will talk about stigma, misunderstandings, connection with others, and hope. This will be an opportunity for our community to learn more, and also connect with others with shared experiences.

For ease of reference, the times across Australia are in the graphic and listed below;

Western Australia: 5pm
Northern Territory & South Australia: 6:30pm

Queensland, New South Wales, Australian Capital Territory, Victoria & Tasmania: 7pm

Want to receive a reminder on the night? Hit the 'Support' button below and we will tag you 30 minutes before the event starts.

New to the forums or want to get involved in this discussion? Check out the How To Guide for Topic Tuesdays.

Hopefully see you there in the chat on the night! In the meantime, feel free to join the discussion for Schizophrenia Awareness Week here.

To kick things off with our first question for @RiverSeal:

So that we can all have the same understanding for this discussion,

What is schizophrenia?

& for the community: What are your experiences with schizophrenia?

@Millielulu it looks like you are already logged in. this thread is the special event so welcome!

@TideisTurning and @RiverSeal I have had some of the positive, negative and cognitive symptoms. I find the hallucinations and delusion can be very distressing. The negative symptoms make life hard to tolerate sometimes.
