How do you cope on public holidays?
I don't mean this to be offensive to anyone who celebrates and appreciates Easter, but four days in a row without work is a little too much.
I think routine really helps my mental health.
It's especially frustrating this year because Easter coincides with Ramadan, so I can't go out anywhere because you're usually eating and drinking when you go out, and any retailers are probably closed anyway.
As I mentioned in my last post, it's kind of frustrating for my Mum to have everyone at home, because she feels like they should all be doing something, which creates a lot of drama. I just want this day to be over...
I especially fail to understand why, when a public holiday falls on a weekend, you get the next Monday off. Was a weekend not good enough?
I say this with ANZAC Day coming up next week... that one I definitely understand a lot more, but you still run into the same problems.
Do you have trouble with your mental health on public holidays, and what do you do to cope?
