That's a powerful comment @Blitter2016.
Thanks. I plan to be a marathon runner. Going back to rostered shifts is going to be a bit of a shock though!!

Hi @mark

the subject of your post connected with me. Just today I have had thoughts that I may stop my meds. In July my psych admitted me into hospital to change my meds. I was in there for 3 weeks. After a week he increased the dose; week after that he dropped it back again; then after another week he told me to talke 1/2 strength with a new AD he decided to add in there.

I was suffering all sorts of side effects from headaches, nauseau, light headed, night sweats. He knows of my side effects.

Today I spoke with him reg. side effects and he said 'well maybe you should just go back on the original AD". I am so confused as to why in the first place he took me off them.

I had a thougth this afternoon - "what if i just stop my meds altogether' and see how my body reacts. I feel like a guinea pig for my psych. And I really hate the physical side effects I am getting.

It's interesting to read about you coming off your meds (with your psych knowing)

Hi babygirl

Hope you are doing OK and sorry if my need to reply because of your name offends you - I have a cat AKA babygirl she was rescued from a frenetically busy road, just sitting there terrified, she was approximately 4 weeks old. My BG and I are now a bit inseparable, after all I am her mum.

I am also trying to quit meds - I just have no idea if this is a sensible thing for me to do. After a very close to completed S.A. I am now supposed to take a mood S as well as a megadose of SNRI's. I am constantly questioning if anything actually works. I have done the therapy thing and am still really ambiguous about any result. I also understand that AD's only work for a specific depression - Melancholic and severe. My thinking is the most important thing you can do for you is to be with people you care about, enjoy whatever you can every day and stay as "chemical free" as you can.

My best to you for your bravery

Lotsa luv Bast
