yes words form picture clouds for me to, and vice versa. @Bunniekins . I have not seen pics on any ones profile yet. I have huge hands, and poor eyesight, If you saw me in real life you would marry Freddy Kruger and still run. .! just keeping up with posts is hard, I only put a guitar up because the comp only gave me 6 choices, and the blank bland head needed some wall paper because it looked just to much like me. There are so many post coming at me sometimes, its like a bad logging truck accident, . . . posts everywhere. and I miss someones, and thats a bad feeling. Only just learnt fo use a computor 8 months ago But i will try and find pics one day.

boosters take up a lot of cells on the tower and if people close to the tower are gaming late at night, then the transmission cloud from the tower shrinks. I know it sounds like B/ S. but thats what my tech friend recons. Your thoughts please. . . tonys

no, not directional, got 2 cheap options, both of which make No noticable difference, thereagain couldnt get my head around mounting them outside, which is really where they have to be. got the double whip double lead mag base thing, also white dome thing which takes w lead input. @tonys not sure how it works, do know can be next to new phone and they will get all the signal and you get none, also can show bars and it means nothing if everyone on there at once think

Um frustrating. before I got the coper to the house, I found that a hard connection into the back of the phone worked better than modem " through the air signal" and the only phone that had a socket for antenna was the tough T max. You do loose signal through the air , which is why lots of serious gaming computers have a hard connection port to modem,

The antenna.

I like the Yagi directional. when you know where the tower is, and it should be 1.4 mtrs of the roof. minimum. When one tower gets too busy the phone will search for another source.

thats where a omni directional antenna is good. you pull one lead out of the back of the phone and plug the other in , and the antennas must me away from each other and away from your TV antenna. 4 mtrs

But If the tower is over worked, especially at night when every one is down loading, then those closest to the shrinking transmission cloud will win.

I think if you are in a van or relocatable, and you can afford it, go with your star link idea.
